About This Cause

Why Women’s Rights matters.

Women’s equality is not a side issue. It is central to freedom, fairness, and the future of the country. Every woman deserves equal pay, safe workplaces, quality healthcare, affordable childcare, protection from violence, and the ability to make personal decisions about her own body and future.

Right now, too many women are still facing barriers that should have been left behind long ago. Women are paid less for the same work, pushed out of opportunities because of caregiving responsibilities, denied basic healthcare, threatened by political attacks on reproductive freedom, and forced to navigate systems that too often ignore their safety, health, and economic security.

Hart 2028 supports full equality for women in law, healthcare, education, work, and public life. That means closing the gender pay gap, protecting pregnant workers, expanding paid family leave, making childcare more affordable, supporting women owned businesses, and making sure women have equal access to leadership, training, capital, and opportunity.

We also believe reproductive rights are fundamental rights. Decisions about pregnancy, contraception, fertility care, miscarriage care, and abortion should be made by women, families, and doctors, not politicians. No one should be forced into a medical decision by government interference, fear, or lack of access to care.

Protecting reproductive freedom also means protecting maternal health. The United States must do more to reduce maternal mortality, improve prenatal and postpartum care, support healthy pregnancies, and make sure every mother can access quality care before, during, and after birth.

Hart 2028 will fight to protect access to contraception, fertility treatment, abortion care, emergency medical care, and accurate health information. We will oppose efforts to criminalize women, punish doctors, or make healthcare harder to access.

Women must also be safe. We support stronger protections against domestic violence, sexual assault, workplace harassment, stalking, trafficking, and online abuse. Survivors deserve to be believed, protected, supported, and given real paths to justice.

Equality means freedom to live, work, lead, raise a family, make healthcare decisions, and build a future without being limited by discrimination or political control. Hart 2028 will stand for women’s rights, reproductive freedom, economic opportunity, and a country where every woman has the power to decide her own path.
